The Dark Side of the Moon Live @MUMBAI
After expressing an interest in reviving The Dark Side of the Moon following his performance with Pink Floyd at Live 8, Roger Waters announced that he would be staging “The Dark Side of the Moon Live“, a worldwide concert tour. Waters and his band performed the title piece in its entirety at each show, beginning at the Rock In Rio festival on 2 June 2006.
The tour featured elaborate staging designed by Mark Fisher (the architect of Pink Floyd’s Wall tour), including giant puppets, large video screen displays and a 360° quadraphonic sound system. The performances were divided into two sets: the first a collection of Pink Floyd material and songs from Roger’s solo career, and the second The Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety, plus encores.
Roger Waters will be performing in Mumbai on 18 Feb 2007 – MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, India

The tour’s setlist remained constant after 8 June. Earlier shows’ sets differed in that they featured “The Gunner’s Dream” along with a different running order. Astro-tise
Astro-tise – a word that is still to find its place in wikipedia. Astro-tise literally means advertisements seen from space and is the latest business that high resolution imaging companies like Digital Globe and GeoEye may make mullah from. The text seen in the google earth image is not really an astro-tise but more of a century old walking path in a municipal garden in Mumbai tracing out the letters B M G for Bombay (the former name for Mumbai City) Municipal Garden – little would the gardener have known that his handiwork will one day be a ‘space-mark’. These will become the man-made indelible place marks in virtual globes and the recent ad campaign by KFC in this domain may pale into insignificance with new creative ideas- hopefully none should be as drastic as cutting down huge tracts of forests to depict some company logo. The makers of crop-signs will have a new business opportunity where satellite flyby times will decide their working hours…
